Jan. 30 - Governor Sebelius announces plan to improve Kansas Universities

Feb. 12 - Senator Jim Barone, D-Frontenac, has introduced a bill requiring hospitals to
             list prices for their most common services.

Feb. 13 - A group of Kansas health policy leaders charged with developing a
             comprehensive health reform plan hopes to have elements of it ready for
             legislators to consider before the end of the 2007 session. Dr. Vernon Mills of
             Leavenworth is part of that group.

Feb. 13 - The House is scheduled today to debate legislation to eliminate the state’s
             franchise tax, the oldest business tax in the state. Proponents of repealing the
             franchise tax say that the bill would be a boost to the economy, freeing
             businesses to expand. Opponents worry about the loss of state revenue,
             projected to be $44 million the first year after a repeal and $230 million after
             that.

            up the scene of a crime

            corporations and to lower the corporate tax-rate.

             restricting concealed guns beyond the state law.

Apr. 26 - Governor signs tax cut bills

Apr. 27 - Legislature over-rides Governor Sebelius' veto on the concealed guns bill

Apr. 30 - Legislative Audit found that Kansas saved $24.5 million per year due to Governor
             Sebelius' order to sell some state-owned vehicles.

May 10 - Kansas State Government sells 21 surplus vehicles to the city of Greensburg for
            $1 each

               action.  A similar bill has passed the Senate 33-7. 84 votes needed to
               over-ride a potential veto
